Indian classifieds are crowded with fake sellers, advance-payment scams, stale listings and no dispute support. Koovira keeps local discovery, seller verification, negotiation and escrow in one safer flow.
Escrow reduces advance-payment fraud.
Live status matters for local buying.
Offers need a saved trail.
Verified sellers and ratings improve confidence.
List with photos, price and location — or search what is actually near you, by radius.
Offers and counter-offers stay on record for both sides.
For a product sale the seller can start an escrow order; your money is held, not handed over.
Confirming receipt is what releases the money. If it never came, open a dispute instead.
Free up to a monthly allowance per account, then it costs. Past the allowance each post consumes a posting credit, and credit packs are bought with your Koovira wallet. Alternatively a paid classifieds plan raises the monthly limit. The button saying "Post Free Ad" is true within the allowance, and this page would rather tell you the rest now.
It is an administrative setting rather than a fixed number in the code, which is why this page does not print one — a figure here would eventually be wrong. You are shown your limit when you reach it.
No. Search and listing pages are public. Contacting a seller, negotiating, bidding, paying and posting all need a free account.
Yes, fully. Your payment is debited from your wallet into a platform escrow account and the order is marked held. It moves to the seller only when you confirm you received the item, and a dispute is resolved by a Koovira administrator.
No, and this is worth knowing. Escrow can only be started by the seller, and only on a product listing — not on a service or a rental. If a seller will not use it on a high-value item, that is information.
There may be an escrow fee and tax on top for the buyer, and a platform fee out of the seller's proceeds. Both percentages default to zero in the code and are set by Koovira administration, so the figure shown at checkout is the one that counts. Any 2.5% figure you have seen elsewhere on Koovira belongs to a different escrow engine and does not apply here.
Open a dispute — "item not received" and "item not as described" are both preset reasons — while the money is still held. An administrator resolves it, including refunds.
From your Koovira wallet. There is no card or UPI path for classifieds escrow.
Yes. Appointments have a start and end time and notes, and are tracked as scheduled, rescheduled or cancelled so both sides can see the state.
Not automatically. There is a status on each listing and administrators can deactivate one, but there is no auto-expiry job — so treat an old listing with the same suspicion you would anywhere else.
No, and the page will not claim they are. There is no seller-verification flag in this module. What is real is the negotiation record, the escrow hold, the dispute path, ratings and reporting — protections that work whether or not you can vouch for the person.
Yes. A report files both a module-level report and a platform-wide moderation report, so it does not sit in one queue.
